Question: What to expect at a first meeting with a modeling agency!?
My 11 year old has an interview with a modeling agency next week!. This was something I pursued, and I know the agency is reputable, so it's not a marketing scam or anything!.

I was just told that she would dress casual!. Can anyone give me any insight as to what to expect!? Will they ask her questions!.!.!.make her walk a runway (joking)!?

Thanks for any insight - Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hello there - it really depends on what types of modeling this agency represent!. If this is strictly a high fashion, showroom, runway modeling - they might ask your daughter to walk, and poses in front of the camera!.

If this agency represents Commercial/Print Modeling - then yes!. Casual is fine!. Again, she will probably be asked to do some test-shoots, where she will be asked to post in front of the camera, only this time, your daughter will have project all sorts of fun emotions!. Surprised, Happy, Thrilled, Stubborn!.!.!.!.etc!. Be versatile - and remember, the bigger the smile the better!. This is where she can totally express her personality in front of the camera!.

Doesn't matter what this agency represents, make sure your daughter wear a pair of dress shoes!. A nice dress, or top w/ skirt is fine!. No t shirts and jeans!.!.!. Make sure your daughter have no heavy makeups!. lip gloss is fine!. And make sure she looks exactly like how she appears on her head shot/comp card!.

Questions: other than the usual what she likes, play any sports!.!.!.etc!. The most important question will be: Do you want to be a Model!? Or your Mom wants you to be a model!. Would you be able to skip class for Audition

A lot of the Talent Agents who represent Child talents, need to know if it is what the Child wanted to do - the Child needs to have the desire and passion in order to be successful at the career - and the Agent will have more confident in sending submitting their headshot/compcard/resume out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
