Question: What kind of shoes would!?

What kind of shoes would Amanda Wingfield wear!? I'm doing a scene from the Glass Menagerie (more info: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/The_Glass_M!.!.!. and it's where Amanda finds out Laura hasn't been going to Rubicam's Business College like Amanda thinks she is!. I need to know what kind of shoes I should wear! Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

A lot will depend on how you're doing your production and how you think Amanda is as a person!.

I'm not going to go refresh my memory about exactly which scene that is, but:

If it's one of those scenes where Amanda is about the house doing her magazine phone work or similar puttering, I'd be tempted to put her in a housecoat and a pair of cheap cloth slippers!.

If Amanda has been out or if she's expecting company, I'd put her in some shoes that look like a sad attempt to accomodate aching old feet while still looking fetching!. Something with a boxy toe but an overly high heel!. Definitely black leather looking!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
