I believe that Hannibal is about, well, Hannibal!. He was a Carthaginian general during the Punic Wars with Rome, about 202 B!.C!. (I believe it was the 3rd Punic War, though I'm not absolutely certain!.) In the opera Hannibal in Phantom, I believe it is about Hannibal returning to Carthage to fight in the Battle of Zama (the last battle; the Romans won, thus sealing Carthage's fate in the history of the world)!. also, judging from the song Think of Me, his wife Elissa (I am uncertain if he actually had a wife named Elissa), played by Christine, is lamenting that their love is gone!. She is asking him, though his love for her is gone, to remember her sometimes and think of her!.

Don Juan is an opera written by the Phantom that refers to the Spanish character Don Juan!. This character is a womanizer, and in the Phantom's opera, Aminta (played by Christine) is the woman he is trying to woo!. She is quite taken in by him!.

Neither of these operas actually exist however; they were made solely to be in the musical!. (In the book by Gaston Leroux, which I highly recommend, actual operas are used, such as Faust, but for the musical they made these up!.) Hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I don't know what Hannibal was about!. But here is explains some history behind it!. http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Hannibal

But Don Juan Triumphant isn't a real production!. The story about Don Juan however is of a man who is always seducing young woman!. He goes to the cemetery one day and the statue on a grave that was a father of one of the young ladies he seduced started to speak to him!. Don Juan invited him to dinner but in the end the father statue pulled him into hell!.

So something like that but considering that its called "Don Juan Triumphant" i doubt in Erik's production this ending actually happened!.

hope this helps
