Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Auditions... Agencies... Broadway?

Question: Auditions!.!.!. Agencies!.!.!. Broadway!?
Well I would like to break into the acting/broadway/performing world as soon as possible!. I'm only 13, but as far as I know I am on the right path!. I can read music, I take voice and dance lessons, and I have been in plays since I was 5 (at least 20 plays in total and counting)!. I dream of being on broadway or something similar!. I live in a small Northern California Town in the wine country!. Anyone know a good way to start, a local agency, or open auditions near me!? All answers are gladly taken if they are well-intended!. Thanks!!!!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm 15, and my entire family is in the movie/ television business!. My father is an art director, and my mother is an actress!. So me and my older sister have been doing TV, radio, and theater since we could lift our heads up, and have had agents since we were born!. IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS BUSINESS YOU NEED AN AGENT!.Because of my family history, i never had to "find" an agent, but i have seen them turn people away for countless stupid reasons, and you need to be prepared for the harshest business in America!. First off, you need experience!. I'm not saying school play, I'm saying on camera classes, theater workshops, voice over specialists!. ANYTHING to put on a resume that shows these people you are 100% serious!. Do NOT go in wearing too much make-up, they WILL be very blunt with you and tell you!. You must make yourself extremely open, welcoming and upbeat!. Someone they would be proud to send out to their clients for auditions!. Just smile!.

You're a minor so you will need your parents complete involvement in order to push towards being a professional child actor!. That would also include moving away from Northern Cal to NYC with at least one parent if it's Broadway you want!. Otherwise you will have to wait until after college or even think about applying to a place like New York University!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm an actor, and I can tell you first-hand that acting can be a big part of your life! Some people think that sacrifices will have to made like your GPA or your schedule, but good agencies will balance that so don't listen to them!. However, it does take up most or your time!. First off, you have to be open to changes and willing to play ANY part, even a small part!. First thing to do is get an agent who will refer you to casting directors!. Next, finding a good manager is important!. I don't know about any good agencies in Northern California!. Google auditions in Northern Cal!. blah, blah, blah!. But one thing you HAVE TO HAVE is a RESUME!. It shows your name, age, agencies, expiriences and talents!. You'll also need a headshot for theatrical and commercial auditions!. Different agencies have different areas both commercial and theatrical so choose wisely!. Hope this helped! =)
also, LA is where FILM career is!. If it's Broadway, then you'll most likely need to go to NY!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
