There really isn't anything you can put in any one letter that is going to catch their attention!. They have a slew of girls in there that they are struggling to find auditions for!. Your resume or body of work wasn't strong enough to make them want to take you on!. When they see a resume they are thinking about whether it will get the attention of the casting directors they must deal with and ultimately lead to you booking jobs which pay them their 10%!.

So here is what you do!. You keep your letter simple and tell them you're a dedicated hard working acting professional who looks forward to being represented by them!. Then ever few months you send postcards with a smaller representation of your headshot with updates as to what work you have been doing!. Plays in community theater, show cases your acting school or coach put on, independent films, student films, you (and your parents if you're a minor) should be out there hustling for acting work on your own because that is the only way an agency, who ultimately hope to make a commission off of your work is going to sit up and take notice!.

I'm 15, and my entire family is in the movie/ television business!. My father is an art director, and my mother is an actress!. So me and my older sister have been doing TV, radio, and theater since we could lift our heads up, and have had agents since we were born!. Because of my family history, i never had to "find" an agent, but i have seen them turn people away for countless stupid reasons, and you need to be prepared for the harshest business in America!. First off, you need experience!. I'm not saying school play, I'm saying on camera classes, theater workshops, voice over specialists!. ANYTHING to put on a resume that shows these people you are 100% serious!. Do NOT go in wearing too much make-up, they WILL be very blunt with you and tell you!. You must make yourself extremely open, welcoming and upbeat!. Someone they would be proud to send out to their clients for auditions!. Just smile!.
