The week before a play or something, I practice A LOT!. You can practice with and without a partner!.
To work on facial movements, try performing a monologue without speaking and see how convincing it is(its pretty hard btw) also, you could practice in front of your friends and family!. However, you want them to be very honest with you and tell you what your doing wrong and why they know your just acting!.

Picking a monologue can be hard, but it can also be easy!. Look on the internet for certain kinds of monologues!. For example you could look up 'Dramatic male monologue' or if your a girl 'Dramatic girl monologue'!.
And again, practice several different types of monologues in front of people!. Get them to tell you which one suits you the best!.

When your acting, you want to try to put yourself into that characters position!. So, if the girl(or boy) you want to act about, is going through a hard time with, say, a heartbreak, try to remember how you have felt if you have ever gone through a heartbreak!.

Acting is a hard thing to do when trying to get people to believe you!. It takes a lot of time and practice, but you will eventually get it!
Hope that helped! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
