You're really cute! But that isn't really a headshot!. However, I take it you haven't auditioned much and are new to the business so that may be OK!. They probably have a type in mind and if you fit their type, and inexperienced is OK, the photo won't hurt you that much!. I'm guessing the photo actually looks like you, which is really important!

Can you, or one of your friends, crop the photo!? There is too much background, and your feet distract from your face!. Headshots are mostly 8x10, and I'm not sure your photo is of high enough resolution to enlarge to 8x10!. Do you have a higher resolution original!? When you crop, be sure to crop to 8x10 dimensions, most photo software has that option!. I did some quick examples of cropping for you (two 8x10, one 4x6, I'm removing them in a couple of days) - http://photobucket!.com/maliboo_girl If you're good at editing, you might want to see if you can photoshop out the leaf by your eye!. = ) Remember, only edit on DUPLICATE photos!. Your hair is a really pretty color, so in future photos, try to make sure the background isn't too similar so your hair color shows up more!.

Getting professional headshots can be very expensive!. Is there a photo club or class at your school!? There may be some students who are good enough to take some shots for you if you're only going to audition once in awhile!. Here are some tips:

Please talk to your parent or guardian to help you with all this!. The entertainment industry is not a really great place for kids!. My 13 yr old son takes drama classes, for fun (and so hopefully he'll get acting out of his system!), but I won't let him audition now even though he gets asked to!. I told him that maybe when he is 16, depending on school, he could audition for something a family members is producing, but until then, forget it!. So please make sure your parent or guardian is involved in every step of the process, there are some creepy people out there!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all, you are really cute, and good luck in the film!.

Second of all, this is not a headshot for all the reasons you received here!. It sounds like you already knew this, since you knew to bring up the question!.

When I'm looking at 15+ photos of girls I"m still considering after an audition and how I'm going to pair them together with other actors, it is really helpful - imperative - that the headshots make sense, and that they look like the person!.

Is there a way in photoshop to crop the image around your head and take the leaves out of the hair!? A "headshot" does not need to be a professional photo - it just needs to look like you, and be a photo of your face!.

It would be rough for you to go in with the only body shot of all the girls auditioning and also expect the producer to know you are professional!. Unless you are amazing, which would overrule everything else I've said!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're a kid, it's good enough for now but as mentioned, it is not really a professional shot!. Showing full body in a shot however is not a bad idea because there are few things worse than getting a picture of a head, calling that person in and seeing a body that is a mess or not at all what was "sold" in the picture!. A headshot should literally be a photo that is mainly your head/face, typically from the shoulders up!. They're usually 8x10 inches, on glossy paper, and often in black & white!. A photo that shows your entire body, as this one does, would not be considered a headshot by a talent agency!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

NO LEAVES IN THE HAIR!!! Www@QuestionHome@Com

no its supposed to be a photo of your head/faceWww@QuestionHome@Com
