I graduated from Barbizon's program 6 years ago (I'm 20 years old now)!. I will admit that I had a really good time going through their program because the instructors were nice, I made a lot of friends, and learned a lot!. But my complaint about them is that you pay for all these classes, and I not once got a job through them once I graduated!. They tell you to call once every 2 weeks to see if there are any jobs that fit you, and every time I called they'd tell me that they were busy with other tasks and to try calling back later!. I went through this with them for a year and then finally gave up!. Since then I've been extremely involved in school, community, and regional theaters and I've learned more and gotten more work through them than I did through Barbizon!. So go for it if you want, but just realize that they won't do anything for you once you graduate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have never went to Baribzon, so I cannot tell you if it is worth it or not!.

But I do know their classes do cost a lot of money!.!.!.!.

If your goal is to become an Actress - then why not looking to Acting Schools or Acting Studios that offers conservatory program, where you invest 1 or 2 years - and you aquire all skills from Acting Techniques, Movements, Scene Studies, Speech/Dialogue, On-Camera techniques, and Mask Work!.!.etc!. (Why learn Acting Technique from a Acting/Modeling school!?)

If you are in New York area, I recommend the following schools (If you are not from NY, that's okay, check out these REAL acting schools' website and see the classes they offer):

The Acting Studio, Inc http://www!.actingstudio!.com
Caymichael Patten Studio http://www!.cpattenstudio!.com

Its a school but not a college!. Think of what a 4 year degree college would cost you!. They do teach you the basics for a faction of the cost!.

You'd be better served to do local theater and college productions the experince is invaluable and puts you in front of the folks just comming out of Barizon!.

I do think that Barbizon is a good place!. I remember I had a modeling workshop with them a few years ago and it was well worth it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
