Depending if you are likely to be seen or not, most crew will wear long sleeved black t shirts!. If you are not likely to be seen then short sleeved is ok!. Trousers should be comfortable, preferably with pockets!. Something you can move around in easily!. Flat black shoes, trainers or boots!. A torch is handy to have too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Black Commando/SWAT trousers (easily obtainable at a Surplus store), black long-sleeved T-shirts, a black Baseball cap, (or, depending on your length of visibility, a black ski-mask), black Mechanic's gloves, a black back-brace, and, most importantly, black steel-toed shoes with rubber soles!. The "hiking boot"-type shoes have the best mobility!.

The SWAT trousers have the added feature of leg pockets (always handy for tape, flashlights, {small and pin-like, of course}), and tools!. Wear a belt!. You can clip an amazing variety of objects on a belt!. A Multi-tool, such as a Leatherman, can come in handy, as can a 6" Craftsman Crescent Wrench in a back pocket!. Never forget the lanyard!.

Black jeans= Bad choice!. You need to be able to move quickly, and stay cool!. Think "camouflage"

it's usually a good idea for stagehands not to look sloppy, even though they're not meant to be seen!. long-sleeved black shirts with no writing on them are the best choice (it's really distracting to see bare arms shining in the darkness when set pieces are being moved), black dress pants/trousers and closed-toed shoes with good traction that will enable you to move silently and easily!. it's also preferable to remove jewelry!. if you have to wear a watch, it's a good idea to wear one that isn't too shiny or reflective!. I'm in a lot of plays and the stage crew at my shows usually wear black jeans or quiet black sweat pants!. And for shirts they ussually just wear any all black shirt that doesn't have writing/ graphics on it!. Or you could just flip the black shirt inside out so that it is all black if you don't have an ALL black shirt!. Oh and you should wear black shoes to, but not flip flops!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It does depend exactly what your job is; if I'm on stage crew, then I wear a long-sleeved black T-shirt and black combat pants, and my black steel-toed boots!. My Maglite and Gerber never leave my belt!. If I'm stage managing, or operating lights where the audience can see me, then black dress pants and a black shirt with a collar!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wear something cool!. It can get pretty warm on stage and you will be working!.
A black T shirt works good!. Be sure you don't have pockets full of stuff!.
Any black pants that you don't mind getting filthy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

sweatpants you dont care about are always good, but its going to be warm, so probably a t shirt is better!. it really doesnt make a difference as long as it is black!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
