Acting Class (if you don't have experience, you need training!.) - Try a community college for decent acting 101+ 2!. Experience (school plays, student films, community theater, extras) 3!. Build Resume (by following step 1 and 2) 4!. Get head shot and write resume, send to Talent Agency (-special note: all talent agents are FREE until they get you work!. If they want you to pay before they get you work, they are a SCAM!. They get a percentage of your pay when you get it-) 5!. Allow Agent to get you work (usually commercials to start off with) 6!. Eventually you'll be called for auditions!. 7!. You'll be turned down a lot!. 8!. You'll be turned down even more!. You'll think about quitting!. 9!. Then eventually you'll find yourself a job!. 10!. Then if you were good, you'll find yourself more jobs!. 11!. Then you can start getting bigger roles, TV, Movie, etc!. 12!. Network, talk to your agent, try and find out when the auditions you want are around!. Typically you'll have to live somewhere like New York, LA, or Florida to be successful outside of commercials and indie films!. You don't NEED to have training to get jobs in this industry but you should really get some anyway!. Check out your local theatre and see if they are having open calls to audition for future plays!. Don't get into it just so you can be in horror movies, you'll likely end up being in a lot of other genres at first anyway!. Like all the tweens on here looking to get onto the Disney channel!. You shouldn't limit yourself to that, just be happy to get anything you can!. Look for auditions on Craigslist under Talent Gigs!. They have auditions on there all the time and you often don't need experience!. They are usually for student films so you won't be paid (most likely)!. Once you can get some stuff on your resume, get headshots and send both to agents!. Then they will worry about getting you auditions!. Maybe you can join a drama group or something as your first step, if acting is really your passion!. Www@QuestionHome@Com you would have to go to acting classes to get more experience first and that would take the most time to do, depends where you are from but usually there is one somewhere in your area then some acting places can lead you into agents if not you should find one after that, because they are the ones who suggest/give you auditions once they give you an audition you go to it and do your best and they will tell you if you have got the part or to go to the next audition usually within a week or so =]Www@QuestionHome@Com I'm studying acting in Australia, been studying for a few years!. I'd say go to an acting school for a while, then get a head shot and go to an agency and try to get extra work and tv commercial work!. Try words like "entry level acting" or "acting career"!. You need a pitch!.
