Mimes where all black, because this sends the general focus to facial expressions and hand movement!. This also gives the mind of the watcher a blank canvas to create whatever the scene is about by the music and the title of the peace!. This is not a set in stone rule by any means!. many mimes will dress up to fit their character, this gives the onlooker a better idea to what is happening in the scene, but clothing with out tails, pockets, hats, glasses, or anything that could move or change throughout the preformance are not preferred!. Generally because if they are touched or moved they are considered a prop!. Which is not allowed in pantomimes!. Hope i helped!.

Mimes usually want the focus to be on their faces and hands only!. Black everywhere else makes their faces and hands stand out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
