I think the more auditions you do, the better it gets!. I have been acting for the last 6 years, I attend 2-3 auditions a week!.!.!. Now days, I still get a little nervous when I audition - but definitely less 'scary' compare to my first 2 years as an Actor!.

Preparation is the key to a successful audition!. If you are asked to do a monologue, then make sure you have practiced like crazy!. If you were provided with sides ahead of time - make sure you are familiar with the material, and know what the casting director is looking for!. If you know that it's going to be a cold-read, and sides are only available on the day of the audition - then get to the location at least 15 minutes prior to your call time!. Read the sides over, get familiar with the material!.!.!. And do your best!.

Remember one thing!.!.!. Every time when you have to perform your monologue or read sides at an audition!.!.!. You are really performing to an audience!!! Isn't it the love for performing that made you an Actor!? Don't you love to Act!? Love to Perform!?
So, enjoy, and let the audience embrace your performance!. Share your passion and show them the hard work you put into your craft!.
Casting Directors are humans too!!

It's about doing your best!. Focus on putting on the best performance you have, instead of wondering if the casting director will like it or not!.

You've got NOTHING to loose!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Before you start your monologue take a deep breath in your nose and out your mouth!. Do things like shaking your hands out or jumping up and down a few times to release some of the nerves!. Something that also might help is listen for something like the sound of the air conditioning and focus on nothing but that and when you are ready, take a deep breath and start your monologue!. Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only thing to do is do practice it alot!. DO it everywhere until someone looks at you and ask you what the hell you are talking about!. MY wife does this one alot!.

Do it in the mall, at the oil shop in front of friends, family the dog and can who ever will listen!.

also forget what people say and think, No matter how good you are someone will complain!.

In this viz you really need to develop a thick skin
