Does Texas have good theater?

Question: Does Texas have good theater!?

Like do the high schools have good theater!? Is it extremely competitive!? (like for Texas suburbs)

We're visiting some friends in Texas and we're seeing one of the teenage girls in her high school play and I'm wondering how hard it is to get into plays, if theater is good there, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I was in One Act Play in Southeast Texas throughout high school!. From my experience, it was extremely competitive!. We competed against schools around Texas and everyone took the plays very seriously!. There are some really talented kids and dedicated directors/instructors!. And to be honest, our art and sports programs are usually much better than our academics!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

How about if you just attend the play, enjoy the friend's performance, and compliment her on some aspect of it afterward!.!.!. be creative if you have to and compliment the costumes or the team spirit, if the talent was lacking!.

There's no reason for theater to be competitive or for you to even care if it's any good!. You are there to support your friends!. Not to figure out if this kid is any better than the kids in Ohio or Los Angeles!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
