Question: Do acting agents cost money!?
When I first get an agent, do I have to pay them!?
Or do they just get a profit when I get paid for acting in something!?

also, if I'm with an agency, do I have to get a different, separate agent!?

Thanks(:Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, all agencies need to get paid in some form!.
Money, a certain percentage of your paycheck, referrals, etc!.

When you're with an agency, you don't need a separate agent because an agent from the agency you're with will help you!.

My advice would be to check out a few agencies, see which one you like/trust most, and set up an appointment with your parents so that you can ask questions!.

Hope i helped!Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are two kinds of agents: talent agents, and casting agents!.

Talent agents represent actors!. Reputable talent agents NEVER charge you a fee to "audition" or to put you on their roster!. They also don't have in-house photographers, or offer acting lessons!. Talent agents make money in one way, only: when you do!. The standard fee for TV & film is 15% of what you make!.

Casting agents work with directors and producers to choose talent!.

You can have different agents for principal (lead) work, background, and theatre!. You can not have more than one agent for each type of work!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

they are not acting agents, they are talent agents!. they do not charge to represent you but take a small percentage of what you earn from jobs they get for you!. There are, hoever, expenses involved with having an agent!. Never consider an agent without checking here to make sure they are legit!. Your third question makes no sense!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
