Question: Help on school play!!?
I am going to audtion for the school play for a medium sized part!. I didn't do drama club last year and i am starting to think that plays a big role in the part you get!. On the audition form it asks a bunch of questions on if you were in it last year, what you liked about it last year, what you learned from it last year and what needs to improve if you did it last year!. There is only one other question for those who didn't do it last year and it asks why you want to do drama club!.
am i going to have a fair chance of getting the part i want even if i wasn't part of the play last year!? Or will the other kids get looked at better!. what should i do to make my chances better of getting that part!?

Hmm!.!.!. I have never been in a school play before, but I have been in 14 plays, ranging from lights crew, to stage crew, to stage manager; from extra to now, Petruchio in the Taming of the Shrew!. if you didn't know, it is the male lead!.
If you have a director who cares about the quality of the play, and not favorites, being in drama club should have nothing to do with it!. Do your best on your audition, and practice constantly before the audition, I don't want to creep you out, but you have to want that part!. Read the show before going to auditions so you can see what motivates each character!. And most importantly, don't be timid on stage!. Be bold, enunciate, and project your voice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
You're not going to be overlooked just because you weren't a part of the last play!. If you know your Audition piece well, and you're willing to play any role, then you've got just as much of a shot as the Theatre Veterans!.
You might get a smaller role if you haven't acted a lot before, but that's just because getting a large role as your first role is really stressful!. My first acting gig was maybe three or four lines!. But it was still a lot of fun!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
take advices from your Friends and and ignore what others say about you and try to improve your Dialogue and work on your skit the maximum and try not to flip off seek advices and choose the one which you think is correct and do your best try to find your weak times and look for that it doesn't happen again and read how much you can
