Language is the core of theatre and you need to be able to use it correctly and with precision!. Second - read plays!. The literature of theatre is the language of the craft and people will expect you to know the basic literature!. If a director at an audition says, "This character is like Olivia in 12th Night" and you don't know what he is talking about - you won't get the part!. Finally - best way to start a theatre group is to find a book of scenes and put up a sign inviting people to come together!. Don't talk about starting the club - act as though the club exists and advertise a scene reading session!. Even if only one or two show up, start working on scenes!. Be honest with one another - critique your performances!. Take turns directing each other!. If those who take part have fun, they'll talk to others and soon you'll have a lot of people!. Options: 1) If you have homeroom announcements or anything like that ask if every teacher/loudspeaker could make an announcement about the start of the drama club!. 2) You should definitely encourage ALL of your friends to join and have them tell people about it!. 3) Hang up BRIGHT, BIG posters in the hallways 4) If you have a school newsletter or newspaper ask if they could add an article or announcement about your club!. 5) have your english teacher tell her other students about it If you do all of this you may even have more than 25 kids!Www@QuestionHome@Com I think she wants to see how both of you are really into actress job!. The same applies to acting !. If you work really hard , you may just be a future Oscar winner !. My teacher , Mister Leblanc , was very hard on me , and it paid off !. But be sure that you know what to say and that the requirements are clear to those potentials recruits!. Before you do this, meet with your teachers to lend you a hand by allowing you to speak before their respective classes!.
