my musical is called dancing on broadway high and is about two guys secrtly taking dance by dressing up as girls so there friends wont reconize them

The premise for this type of play requires a huge suspension of disbelief!. Look at the television show Bosom Buddies, or the movies, Some Like It Hot, Victor Victoria, Sorority Boys, Mrs Doubtfire, Tootsie, or White Chicks!. In all those cases huge makeup was involved and not always with the best of results!. I like the idea of keeping the dance class secret!. Maybe the protagonists are Big Men on Campus, the Super jock known for there athletic abilities but their buddies think anything off the sports field is for sissies!. Instead of have them be girls try just having them go one town away to the Rival High School area!. The head cheer leader is the prima ballerina and she acts like she hates the jock but secretly admires his dedication to the dance, She has no idea that he's the Captain of the Fencing team or the Football player because she has never seen him without his mask or helmet team on!. Just another angle!.

Remember the goal of a musical is to tie a series of songs together with a story!. Write your songs first 4- 6 songs per act!. They should be based on where you want the story to go!. and represent milestones in the story!. Every good story needs a setting, a theme, a conflict, a struggle to solve the conflict and a resolution!. Good luck!.
