There are certain casting notice that are made public on ActorsAccess!.com - but for network and studio productions, only a role that's specific and hard to find, will be made public!. (For example, a role that requires a Middle Eastern girl between age of 12-15, who is fluent in English, Japanese and Spanish) Your agents will submit your headshot/resume (electronically) through Breakdown Services!. So, if you are signed with an agent, you're in good hands!. However, make sure you keep your agent updated on what's going with you!. (Not just saying "HI, Merry Christmas") Let them know what you done recently!.!.!. or if you are in any shows!.!.!.etc!. From the Word of Mouth, you will hear about Character breakdowns and what shows - but self-submission is most likely not going to work because!.!.!. 1) Most of the Casting Directors perfer to work through Talent Agent!. If you self-submit (mail, or email) - your submission will not going to be seen!. 2) For TV show, the time-around time is very short!. The Casting Directors usually finalized their pick (from agent submissions) within 20 minutes after the Breakdown is released!. If you self-submit, by the time your package reached the office, it'd be too late!. 3) The interns/mailroom clerk are the ones who get your package first!. They were given instructions on what mails should be delievered to the agent's desk!.!.!.!. 40 - 60% of the headshots end up in trash!. So, if you heard about something, you can always contact your agent and see if he/she can submit you!.!.!. if its not too late!. Agents and Managers pay huge monthly or annual fees to get access to these listings!. It's one company that does it, it's late and the name is escaping me now!. Any other castings are not legit and you will be get taken advantage of by predators that know you don't have an agent looking out for you!. You need an agent to get sent out on castings!.!.!. anyway, I've heard of groups of actors banding together to buy the subcription!.!.!. the problem is, that you still have to get the casting agent to see you and some get annoyed if your not represented!.
