Ignore that guy above me, doing any play to get experience is a must for beginners!. Audition for everything you can!.

Now, moving on!. If you got the script ahead of time, read it!. If you didn't, I'd reccommend finding it somewhere and reading it so you know what all the characters are like!. Then work on reading your lines as the character would!. Try and memorize them, too, but memorization isn't as important as being in character!. At the auditions, don't hold back!. Do the scene just like you would in an actual performance, with a lot of expression and energy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only acting advice I can give you is to be selective in the roles you choose!. Remember how incredibly awesome Kevin Bacon was in the 1980s and 90s!? Well you probably don't, I am guessing you are in high school!. Anyways he really had some knockout roles and then he did a little film called "the Woodsman" in which he played a "reformed child molester!." Obviously this is not a role that anyone would be proud of, and it certainly did not do much for his career either!

The point is this: You have to pick roles that make your career, and frankly A Midsummer Night's Dream is a horrid play!. Shakespeare gets a lot of props for his works but A Midsummer Night's Dream is basically his "Freddy Got Fingered" !.!.!. a complete disgrace and a horrible way to start your acting career!. If you do join the play as a favor to your school or community theater I would avoid posting it on your resume, directors definitely do not count it as a plusWww@QuestionHome@Com

Hey I wish you all the best!. AMND is a comedy!. It is the play within a play!. Meaning, a whole bunch of townspeople join together to put on a play!. One is a cobbler, or a shoe maker!. He is in a play!. Imagine the silliness that goes on!. What I mean by telling you this is have a good time!. I don't know if you have to memorize a piece, but if so find a monologue from a comedic play of Shakespeare's!. He writes in verse which is kind of like poetry or the book of Psalms in the bible!. It is good to be in a play if your trying to learn acting!. Especially, Shakespeare!. The best thing I can tell you is to have a good time and COMMIT!. That means during the audition skim over your lines!. Interpret what you get from the scene!. Then showtime!. Believe in your moment, in what you say and do!. Acting is playing a character being a character!. When you feel the doubt, you are no longer the character, you are yourself trying to play someone!. Bring it to life and enjoy that audition like it's your first rehearsal!. Break a Leg!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

As an M!.D!. specializing in Gynecology, I've been presented which would appear to be "Good Acting Roles" but they only turn to disasters!.

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" written by Robin Abdul in the late 1600s can be considered a disaster because the uniformity of all the roles is lacking HEAVILY!.

HEAVILY in the sense that nothing really seems to come together!. The dialogue is too vague and uninformative towards the general theme which he "tries" to convey to the audience!.!.!. but as i said, fails miserably!.

If you are attempting to go into a career of acting, music or theater, I prefer you stay away from this particular role!. It's as if you were a garbage man your whole life and applying for a Gynecological profession - you simply won't get hired!.

Steer clear away from this one my dead friend!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Apart from the obvious: Know your lines, be prepared, own the part!.!.!. and bring something to it that stamps your personality on the role!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
