Question: Looking for good information about the play King Lear !?

I am having to read King Lear in major British Writers class!.!.!.Just needing help on understanding King Lear since we are rushing through the play so fast!.!.!.
Not really wanting to have to go and buy Cliff/Spark notes!.!.!.

There's soooo much in KL that it's hard to know where to start!. Lear is in the process of dividing his kingdom between his 3 daughters if only they'll tell him how much they love him, but then Cordelia says that she's amazed at her two married sisters' professions of love because it seems to her that their husbands should be #1 to them!. Whoever her future husband is will be #1 to her!. She eventually dies by hanging herself and Lear enters carrying her dead body and dies of a broken heart!.

The play also has the "wise fool" character in it which is a lot of fun too, and remaining loyal to Lear costs another character his sight when he is blinded on stage by Cornwall!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
