Sugar is not good for your voice, it causes more mucus to be produced in the throat!. Milk is terrible for your voice for the same reason!.
As a singer, I drink mostly water, but when I have a sweet tooth or simply feel a little under the weather, I drink water mixed with lemon juice and honey!. It is delicious and it is great for your voice!.
The lemon juice will limit the mucus produced and dry your throat a little and the honey will re-coat it and make it less sensitive!.

I would assume that Gatorade G2 would be fine, as it doesn't have massive amounts of sugar in it and it has citric acid!. But I would avoid overly sugary sports drinks!.

Personally, I tend to avoid artificial sweeteners!. Natural is usually better, I would stay away from them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd say check nutrition sheet!. You'll find that most sports drinks have just as much, if not more sugar in them that pop!. That said I don't imagine that they are bad for your vocal chords but all things in moderation instead of excess!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
