Question: Beauty and the Beast Play!?
Okay, in the winter their are going to be aditions for the Beauty and the Beast play!. It is and has been my favorite movie for like forever!! I really want the role of Belle and really nothing else haha!. I know many people want that specific role, but i have always dreamed of playing Belle!. Here is the catch, its a musical and im not the best singer!. Okay this doesn't mean im tone-deaf but im not like the next Leona Lewis!. Is there still a chance of me getting the role of Belle if a practice singing like her!? Or am i stuck with another role!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Unfortunately, acting is sooo political!. Often the best musician or actress doesn't get the role!. The person who has the "look" gets the role!. Are you in theater classes with the director of the musical!? How about the choirs!? Sign up for voice lessons now, a good teacher can do wonders with a voice in a short amount of time!.
Even if you don't get the role of Belle, a musical cannot be a production without a chorus!. And there are some AWESOME chorus scenes in Beauty and the Beast!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
You will only know if you try out and audition!. Depending on your high school and how many people sing fairly well and do musical theatre, you may have a chance!. Don't forget about the acting though and just concentrating on the singing!. I'd say it's too late to make any huge improvements with your voice, but if you are interested in doing more musicals, I would consider joining choir or even taking voice lessons!. I guess you could even perform for your high school's choir/singing teacher a song from the musical or a similar song from another musical and ask what you could do to improve before the auditions!. In musical theatre the best singer doesn't necessarily always get the part!. Just make sure you're confident and that you can act and sing all the notes correctly, and project!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
