A bit of vocabulary first!. The "script" is the whole play!. A "line" is what you mean by "19 or 20 scripts!."

I was in a few plays when I was younger, and I found that the best way to memorize the script is to read it over and over to yourself until you're sure you've memorized your lines, and then have someone read it with you, pretending to be the person you're talking to!.

Try to remember that it's not just random words you're memorizing!. Your conversation has a point!. When you realize why your conversation is in the play, and what your character is trying to say to the other person, you can remember your lines much easier!.

Best of luck, and remember that it's just a play - no worries! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm an actor, you should just take it slow and do it scene by scene!. A long line should be broken down in memorization!. If that doesn't work, read the scripts a couple of times, and hopefully you will start to have it memorized,if THAT doesn't work, just during rehearsals you will get the hang of it!.Have Fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com
