How to memorize scripts!?

Question: How to memorize scripts!!?

On May 7 2009 I have a play called Much Ado About Nothing and I am playing Ursula!. I have 19 scripts/ monolgues!. How can I memorize them without freezing up in rehearsels and the opening night!? Btw I dont have a mp3 so recording is out of the way until November or DecemberWww@QuestionHome@Com

What I usually do is go through the entire play saying only my lines aloud until they become second nature!. this will help define the way your character talks and help you to remember your ques in addition to memorizing your lines!.

Whenever I have to memorize something, I take it line by line, I read two or three lines a night, and keep saying them over and over in my head, and then the next night, when you are ready ro practice more lines, you say the ones you practiced the previous night, while adding new ones!. This really helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
