I have ideas for horror films but need the right setting and some actors/actresses who will be willing to work for free - the incentive being self promotion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on where you live, but you are essntially asking people to give up their time and resources to act for an unseasoned director!. You say the incentive is self promotion, but they won't want to add an amatuer experience to their professional film reel!. What about props!? Feeding the cast and crew!? You will have to invest pocket money into any independent film venture at some point!. You need to seek out locations on your own and pound the pavement for donations and volunteers!. You need more than an idea!. You need a polished script, a shot list, and dedicated budget!. If you have previous work, you need to provide a link to it when you submit your casting call!. There should be a film commision where you live!. Like www,marlandfilm!.org!. They usually let you post for free and post what you want!. People will send you head shots and locations are easy just ride around and pick them out then ask the people who own them!. Most are very receptitive!.
