If you're going to quit, now is the time to do it!. They will have time to re-cast and move forward!. If you let it drag on, you may be over-whelmed a week from opening night, quit, and then everyone is inconvenienced!. Just be aware of what to expect with the next production you try out for!. You should never join something and then quit!. You should have done more research before you got a part someone else may have wanted!. After 2 weeks into the practice, I think you should finish what you started!. Do you think that all successful actors liked every part they played!? Make time for your homework, it can be done!. Finish this play and do the part the best you can!. It may lead to something better in the future!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it depends on the importance of your part ( not saying any are unimportant) but if you have a principal role than you should definitely stick to it!. a letter would definitely be a mature way to handle this!. i'd talk it over with other people in the play and get their opinions ( even though i bet every one will tell you to stay) anyway!. i hope i helped and good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you really want to quit then of course you can, but you should understand what the consequences of that would be!. These people would likely never want to cast you in anything ever again, since for all they know you'd probably just quit again, and the same goes for any of their friends and aquaintances!. Keep that in mind when you make your decision!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're inconveniencing the director and the cast!. But as others have said, if you're going to do it, do it now!.

And also to agree that you will not be cast in any plays in the future!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
