Question: Old Times by Harold Pinter - can you explain the ending to me!?

I really enjoyed the play - recently in Brighton!. But what happened in the end!? why was he crying!? why did he confuse the two ladies!.

The women may be 2 manifestations of the same woman!. A different choice made could have led her being a different person!. Another interpretation I've heard is that all 3 of them might be dead!. It was pretty confusing for me, too, but anyway, those are a couple of suggestions I've read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
