If you're going for something with theatrical style;
"Master of the House" ~Les Miserables
"Is This Real Life!?" ~Tick Tick Boom
"Like Zis" ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
"Fantasies Come True" ~Avenue Q

Don't do RENT, it's so cliche!. Anyone with the dvd and a lot of time can and will go in with a poor attempt at that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well typically it's best to use something from a musical because it's a good display not only of your musical/theatrical background, but of your range, because most musicals have many ranges!. I would recommend something of Collin's from RENT, or something from Les Miserables!. What is the audition for!? That's typically a good determination of what you should audition with - do something that's in the same general genre of the musical, or if possible by the same composer!.

Hope it was helpful, and good luck on your audition!Www@QuestionHome@Com

A good song to sing is One of the Good Guys, in any music book for low voice, I would really recommend having a piece with music prepared as most theater audition require to have a a piece prepared!. The reasoning is the timing!. SInging along to piano is a skill, just singing along to any musical instrument
