Question: (10 points for your opinion) short Play writing question!?
The person who gives me the most to go off/ best answer/ good critiques will get 10 points !
So I have to write a short play for theater arts (10-15 mins maybe 20 with set changes) and they have to be original!. I have two ideas so far!.!.!.!.
-Finding the end of the rainbow
-Falling in love with this guy over text messaging and it turns out to be your brother
which one do ya like!? Why!? What's wrong with the other one!?
do have any other ideas!? (just simple basic ideas like the ones above)
or anything to add on!?
***Special question for the second one!.!.!. should the brother be getting back at the sister or should they just accidentally start texting each other or should they!.!.!. (you fill in the blank)

hey please give me some more ideas or tell me which one you would like better we are doing a playwriting unit and then we're choosing the best three and i really want mine to be picked so i need a good idea

Personally, I'd go with the second idea: Falling in love with your brother accidentally through text messaging!. The rainbow idea is cute, but because of the age group you're performing for, I think you would get a much better response with the text messaging one!. It's cute and funny, and most people can relate to it on some level (like if they had a brother or a phone :) If done right, it could turn out really funny!.
I think the entire thing should be accidental!. Comedy is at its best when it's true; that is, things that are the honest-to-God truth (or seem like it) are much funnier because of the fact that!.!.!.well!.!.!.they're true!. Having the whole scenario happen as a simple mistake that evolved into something so terrible it was funny seems a lot more believable than if it was planned out by the brother!. also, when both the brother and sister "discover" exactly who they were texting, you could have a whole minute or two with horrified screaming and yelling at one another!. It could be really cute!.
