Question: Do I have a shot at theater if i keep working!?
hi ! I am really interested in acting!. It has almost become my life! I have taken dance for 7 years (tap,ballet,jazz,modern) and i am currently taking voice lessons!. i have taken two acting classes and taking two more over the summer and another in the fall that continues through spring!. Over all i was told i have a lot potential !.!.!.!.!. it is weird but whether its a small skit or a big production, i feel like something clicks inside of me and i turn into the person I'm acting like!. i have been in 5 stage productions!. I am going to be in several concerts in the future and i have been in three dance recitals!. I am also taking one Broadway dancing work shop and one rockettwork shop both thought by ppl on Broadway(one is a rockett!!)!. I am only 14 and I am planning to have a lot of training a head of me!. thanks! do u think I'm on the right road!? could i make it if i keep building!?Could I make it into NYU tish!?

It sounds to me like you have a great start! Keep on with the training -- and try to get as much experience as you can!.
Audition for local community theater, if you aren't already, and offer to help out backstage if you don't get cast!. You'll need to understand how theater "works": performing is part of it, but there's a lot that goes on that is also important!. Props, sets, lighting, sound -- all of it is important!. Plus you'll get to know more people who can maybe write letters of recommendation for you later, when you apply to colleges!.
The more you learn, the more experience you get, the more attractive you'll be when you go on to college!. That will help you get into the better schools like NYU or Juilliard!.

Yes! you are only fourteen, and already you have taken steps towards how you want your future!. I am thinking of applying to NYU, and i have done MANY musicals, concerts, and recitals!. You will definitely be able to go to the college you want to, and pursue a career! good luck!! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
