Question: How should I write this critique of this play!?
I had to go see Macbeth for school and now I have to critique it!. I only have to critique the Production, not the plot!. In other words!.!.!. I am basically working on only the costumes, makeup, lighting, set design, the acting, the sounds, and the direction; NOT Shakespeare's Macbeth!. I do not have to critique the plot, the theme or the dialog!. It has to be two pages, double spaced!. I am not asking any of you to write it for me (hahaha), I am just asking what do you think I should say in my opening sentence!. I am just not sure what to say in the first couple sentences!.

Can you give me any ideas!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Focus on whether or not the costumes, makeup, lighting, set design, the acting, the sounds, and the direction helped make the play seem realistic or not!. When all of those elements came together, was it a polished performance, or did it just seem like a rehearsal!?

Did you think that the costumes and makeup were accurate - did they help you visualize the time period and the setting of the play!?

Did the lighting and set design make you "fall into" the plot and really get engaged in it, or was it poorly done and not realistic!?

Likewise, did the acting engage you and convince you of the plot, or was it just reading the words!?

Hope this helps! Www@QuestionHome@Com

be honest!. do you think that these elements accentuated or detracted from the overall production!. in what way did they accentuate or detract from the production!. be specific!.

if you're not certain about the opening, don't start by writing the opening!. write the rest of the piece then go back and summarize in the opening what you said in the rest of the critique!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
