Question: What is a reasonable degree to get in fine arts!?
I was wondering, what would be a good degree to get in fine arts, I'm wanting to become an actor, but I don't know what degree I should get, or how long would it take!? I'm figuring a bachelors would be nice, but then again masters is almost like an actor's Ph!. D right!? also, if I were to get a degree, would that make my chances of becoming an actor (who earns a steady living) higher!? And do most professional actors have degrees!? I'm hoping to attend USF in a few years, if I'm lucky I'll be duel enrolling next semester, (if not then at a community college) I'm only 14 years old, but I'm in 11th grade, and I'm very serious about school!. I know I can get into college, and I certainly have the dedication to stay in and get the appropriate degree!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Acting degrees are BFA or MFA!. Degrees are not needed to be an actor, but lots of experience and training in professional classes are!. If you can get into Julliard, it might make a difference and if you are only interested in stage acting or classical acting a degree in acting is not a terrible idea if you get it in the right program like Rutgers, for example!. Some pros went to college and some didn't and some who did did not study acting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
