Question: What's a good play/musical to see in London this week!?
I'm looking for something not too popular because then I'll never be able to get tickets on such short notice, and something relatively cheap (probably about £20 per person)!.

And something that will appeal to a group of teenagers!?

ThanksWww@QuestionHome@Com

Well, it depends on what you are interested in really!. I think hairspray is quite good (much better than the movie)
There's also into da hood!. Which is like a modern version of Cinderella!.
There's Chicago which is a classic and one of the best west end plays on offer!.

Mamma mia (MUCH better than the movie)
We will rock you (Perfect for queen fans)
The Lion king (A disney original- inclueds audience participation)
Wicked (A lively and funny version of the wizard of Oz)
The phantom of the opera (Much better than the movie)
Joseph and his amazing technicolour dream coat (great songs)
The sound of music (My personal favourite)

Hope I helped XxX Angelica

Into Da hood is the best for teenagers and it's quite cheap too ;-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

A friend of mine just saw Billy Elliot there and she said it was AWESOME! I trust her opinion completely so I say go for it!. I've also heard great things about Mary Poppins!. You might want to see if any of the theatres have lottery programs or single tickets for cheap!. Some theatres have singles seats or small blocks of seats 1-3 together) that they can't sell at the last minute (too many large groups of 4 or more that want to sit together) so if you're willing to sit separately you could get really great seats for way less than face value, you'd just have to be willing to see your companions at intermission and after the show!. Call the theatres and ask what programs they have available for those on a budget :-)

Best of luck!

Most of the ones I'd suggest have been mentioned, but depending on the age of the teenagers you could try The Woman in Black http://www!.thewomaninblack!.com/!. We got tickets for a performance the same day, but it is definite a thriller, and possibly not suitable for younger teenagers!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Agree with those above!.!.!.but Blood Brothers is a standing ovation musical and all the teens I know who've seen it loved it!. Not sure if you can get the tickets though!.!.!.but whatever, goodluck and hope they enjoy!Www@QuestionHome@Com
