Question: What do you need to start out as an actor!?
I'm talking about details on head-shots, resumes, where you can find local auditions, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
okay!.!.!.

Lets start with headshots!.!.

With the headshot make sure its a natural photo of you!. for eg, if you have a professional headshot done then when you go to auditions you straighten your hair for your it, don't do it, unless you say straighten it everyday then thats okay!. also you cant take ordanary pictures of yourself posing with your camera youd need to find a profesional photographer to take the photos!.

RESUMES:

Put your!.!. NAME LIKE THIS

Full name
Date Of Birth
Height
Weight:
Hair color
Eye color
e-mail

Experience

Film

Cemercials

Training

Theatre

Special skills!.

RESUME DO'S AND DONTS

DONT:
Lie about your experience!.

Make up special skills or write things down just so you fill in the special skill area!.

Have a resume that is larger that 8 ? x 11!. An oversize headshot won't fit in a standard folder and will probably just get thrown away!.

also DO NOT make your resume over one page!!

DO'S:
Make sure the head shot shows your face!

Make sure the contact information on the back is up-to-date!. Create an email address just for your acting resume!.

Have at least five copies with you when you go to auditions!. You never know who will want them!.

Well you can find disney auditions at: http://www!.actinginfo!.blogspot!.com/

You can also get an agent who will get you auditions!!

I really hope that I helped you and good luck!!! (;

Kind Regards, Lucy (;

Well, first it's important that you take classes!. You can find acting classes either at your school (if you're in school), at a local theatre, or at a local community college (which often has classes for younger people as well!. Sorry, I don't know how old you are, there's a lot of people on here in high school, so that's why I mention classes for younger people)!.

If you've already taken classes, then you can move onto the other stuff!. You can look up headshot photographers in the phone book!. My local phone book has a section for "Headshot and Portfolio Photographers" and it lists the people who specialize in this kind of portraits!.

On your resume, you list all the acting experience you have including the play (or whatever) name, the character you played, where the play was, and the year it was!. also list educational things like classes you've taken!. List special skills (like dancing, musical instruments, or accents you can do)!. List any related awards you have!. And, at the bottom, list 3 references and their phone numbers (directors you've worked with is good if you have any)

I don't know where you live, so I can't find audition info for you!. I live in Tucson and here there are two websites that I know of, Tucson Stage and Tucson Actors Forum where theatres can post info about auditions!. If you search on google for something in your area, you might find something like this!. also, I know that a lot of local theatres really wouldn't mind if you just looked up their phone number and then called them up asking if there were any auditions coming up!.

If you meant auditions for TV or movies, you might find listings on the theatre audition websites as well, because they know that's where they can find actors!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Desire and passion, if you have those 2 attributes and truly want to act for the right reasons then everything else will fall into place!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
