I am really good at acting, and I have had the lead in a few school plays!. I was also voted best personality last year for my graduating eighth grade class!. I'm 14 yrs old, 6 ft tall, with pretty blue eyes!. I found one place that schedules auditions and shoots for you, but they want 69 bucks for three months! I'm not sure what to do and I need help!. I'm also popular so I can't really tell my friends!. They wouldn't understand!. Drama is something for girls!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Honestly, I think your next step should be to branch out to plays outside of your school, rather than paying for this agency or whatever it is!. Cities often have a local blog-like website where local theatre companies can post audition notices!. Look for these!. Local theatres are often looking for teens!. You can just find auditions yourself, rather than paying someone!. You can also call local theatres up and ask if there's any auditions coming up!. If you act in some plays with local theatre companies, then you'll get some professional experience to add to your resume (school plays really aren't that impressive to anyone in the professional world)!. Who gives a poop if your popular or not!. If you like something then you should express yourself!. Everyone has something that there afraid to say!. I have another question!. If you were the lead in a few school plays, then your friends must have found out!. Another thing is that if you get a part time job, then you will find out that 69 for 3 months is actually a good price!. You should easily make that in 1 month if you get a good part time job!. One more thing is that girls like guys who are involved in acting/drama!. A guy in my grade got 3 girls hitting over him just because he got the lead!. Trust me, if your good at something then you should show your talent!. I'm the same age as you and have been doing just as well as you! ^_^ Anyways, There are a lot of sites on Google that you can look up!. AND before I shutup, Drama is not just something for girls!!! If you plan on going into this, someone is going to find out!. But don't let that hold you back!. Look at where the big movie stars are! They had to start somewhere, and that's exactly where they began!. As for how to tell your parents, just ask them for a minute and tell them of your plans!. It will all work out!.
