Question: Auditions for "Your a Good Man, Charlie Brown"!?
I'm auditioning for my school musical of (up there) and i was wondering if there were any tips for auditioning!. I really wanna blow this audition out of the water this time, since i've only been ensemble before because i've always messed up my audition!. Are there any songs that are really beautiful when sang well!? I was thinking of singing "Ladie's Choice" from Hairspray by Zac Efron, do you have any suggestions!?

P!.S!. I'm trying out for the part of Linus/SchroderWww@QuestionHome@Com

First, don't mention Zac Efron in your audition, just because he sung it in the movie doesn't mean the song is by him!.

Here's some tips for during your audition:

--Project your voice, meaning BE LOUD! Use your diaphragm while speaking and singing!. This is the most important thing!. If your audition is in a big auditorium, make sure you can hear your voice echoing off the back wall!. Speak to the whole auditorium (even if most of it is empty), not just the directors sitting in the front row!.

--Don't let them know you're nervous!. If your nerves get the best of you, you'll mess up!.

--Be friendly and personable when introducing yourself!. Directors like people that'll be good to work with!.

--When they have you read something, try to get into the character as much as you can!. Don't read from the script like you're reading a book!. Look at the script as little as possible, and look out at the back of the auditorium instead!. Don't look right at the directors!.

--Make sure you don't talk too fast!. People tend to talk fast when they get nervous!. If you read through the part too fast, the directors will assume you're too nervous to do it properly!.

--When you're dancing, just try your best and smile a lot and look like you're having fun!. Smiling is very important while dancing in musicals!.

The most important thing is that they can hear you loud and clear!. If they can't hear you or understand you, they're not going to cast you!.

Break a leg! I hope this is helpful!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
