Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: dont take acting classes theyll ruin you, just adition for every thing you can, look in the paper and on the internet for local play, commercail, and movie auditions, if you really want it, never give up, and you must have passion about what your acting, showbiz is not somthing you enter on a whim, you have to really want it more than any thing and that will take you placesWww@QuestionHome@Com Well, first take some acting classes, workshops, or drama classes!. Participate in plays and musicals at school!.!.!.and when you think you have alot of training and experience, you can make your resume!.!.Once you can, you should find a talent agent, but make sure he doesn't charge you for being the agent!. He only gets 10-15% of the income you earn acting in film or television!. So just make sure it's a loyal one!.!. Then he will get you into auditions, and you can make it from there!. But most of all, have faith and make sure that's what you REALLY want!.!. I personally don't think talent agents are always necessary, just as long as you get into auditions, but if that's what the proffessionals say!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I Agree strongly with "Theatre Doc" Take me for example (NO IM NOT SAYING IM FAMOUS) I have ALWAYS ever since I was young (I mean, like ages three and four) Wanted to act!. I didnt have preferance as to where I just wanted to!. Then this past school year I Decided to just go for it and try out for the play!. I had no idea whatsoever if i was even a DECENT actor!. I was stunned when immeadiately after my auddition the theatre teacher and choir teacher asked Why in the world i wasn't in their classes, and soonafter landed the lead role!. Now, I'm NOT bragging!. I myself still cannot beleive that I'm all that great!. I still have LOTS to work on in my acting but in the meantime I'm just going to practice by auditioning again this year, going to drama and speach tournaments, one act play competitions and working on analyzing characters and improving on my talent!. Keep in mind, raw talent WONT land you a role in any professional acting gig!. If you are told you have talent keep working on it because there is ALWAYS somwhere to improve, myself included!. That will open doors for you and get you noticed a bit and they let you know about auditions to stuff, audition for stuff and basically see where it takes you! It does take alot of hard work for it but if your willing to do that then go for it :)Www@QuestionHome@Com Same as everyone else in this forum!. First you have to have talent and it is not something you know by intuition!. To find out tryout for the school plays!. If you get lots of good roles and do them well, you may have talent and can continue on!.
