Question: Am i too old to get into acting!?

i'm 20, i'm at college at the moment studying sport coaching, but i really feel that the course is'nt for me, and i really want to try my hand at acting, but was wondering whether or not i might be too old!. if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated thanks!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

No way- you can never get to old for acting! i'm 13 and i was recently in a pantomime which had 80 year old actors in it! So, to answer your question; NOPE!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's a very hard industry to get into, but if you want to give it a try, then go for it! You'll be able to do a drama course at college but doing this won't make you an actress!. There's far more steps to that than a college course!. Give it a go and see where it takes you, and even if you don't get where you want to be, by doing drama it'll have done you good!. You'll have gained confidence and lots of other things too!. You could also join a drama group!. They aren't just for kids!. My auntie is a member of one and most people who go there are over 30!. They do brilliant shows all the time!. It doesn't matter if your not a famous actress!. You'll be happy doing shows with a drama group if your passion is acting!. Good luck! xWww@QuestionHome@Com

of course not! the acting industry always needs people of every age!. you know that movie, "the queen"!? look how old that lady was! and she's gotten a lot of fame doing that one movie at her age!. i know it's hard, but try not to let your age affect what you want to do!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're joking, I went to drama school at 51, by 52 I got my Equity card and just had a ball acting professionally for ten years!. It's great fun and I loved the people I met/acted with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
