Question: How do I pursue an acting career in the UK!?
In September I will be beginning a 2-year BTEC National course in performing arts, because I wish to become an actress!. The only problem is, where do I go when I've finished this course!? What options are open to me!? Drama schools!? I really have no idea, so any help would be appreciated!. Thanks :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

After your 2 year course try drama schools to get you started!. Try getting a head shot and an agent because then you should be able to get auditions for all sorts of stuff: Being an extra, being a small actor or even being a main role u never know! You dont have to pay for an agent becae if you have talent they know and they will take around 10% of your income when you get the part they find for you!. Chase your dreams and never give up! Even if you dont get the first few parts it doesnt matter! That happens to everyone! GOOD LUCK!Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are a number of websites where you can register and create a profile outlining your skills and experience, upload your headshot and be listed in a directory!. Casting directors use these kind of websites to look for new talent!.

Some of these websites also post upcoming casting calls and auditions for projects!. FilmExtras does both of these!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've heard that if you look around for auditions on stage and in television, it helps!. It also gives you experience if you wish to follow it up as a career!. Drama groups that are local to you will be good too!. Hope this helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am sure that tutors on your course will be able to advise you what is best after you have completed your BTEC!. Check out the National Council for Drama Training website too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
