Question: Script and story: What's the difference!?
Sometimes when I watch movies, I see in the end credit's:

Story by, script by!.

What's the difference between the two!? I thought the script was the story!. Is the story written more like a novel!?

Any help!?

The script is an abbreviated version of the story!. That is why the film is never the same as the book!.

It is always lacking in substance!. In society we always want the fast version now because we don't want to read!.

I think we lack the ability to read and understand these days!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The script is what the actors SAY in the story!. The story is the overall plot and theme!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
