i dunno it depends!. if it's a serious play just try your best not to laugh by picturing something boring like your dinner or what you did last tuesday and try not to brake character

but if it's pantomime just play along with your laughter if your a main part like the dame or someone but if you are just in the chorus try to cover it with you hand

ad-libing is the key

also i don't think the audience mind too much because on the last nigh of the peter pan production that i was playing smee in one of the other pirates had just been smoking cannabis and when i went to climb in the boat after the crocodile came she rowed of leaving me flat on my **** in the middle of the stage laughing along with the audience i just stuck my tounge out at the croc and ran off the audience laughed so hard lolWww@QuestionHome@Com

It's hard and what ever anyone tells you makes it harder because you're focusing on that instead of your performance!. It's stage fright!. You just have to keep going up there enough until you are comfortable and not care what anyone else in the audience thinks!. That is what causes most stage fright or nervousness is worrying about what the audience will think!. I know harder done than said, but as I said the only way to do it is focus on yourself and not the audience!.

It's better to laugh than freeze up and have nothing come out of your mouth!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well!.!.!.many people have stage fright!. I personally think it's okay to laugh at yourself!. That's what I would do,that way i'm playing it off so that the person who starts laughing knows that I don't have a problem with laughing at myself!. Most likely they would feel stupid!. : )
But don't worry, I'm sure that when you get on stage all that fright will go away!. Just try not to think about messing up and have fun with it!. Be yourself!.
Hope I was a help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Are you trying to make them laugh!? Maybe you are just a bad actor!. If you pee your pants you won't feel nervous, just embarrassed!.

Usually you should just try to stay focused like most musicians who look like they don't realize anything that is going on!. Kanye West even does it when he isn't "singing"Www@QuestionHome@Com

i have stage fright too!. there were plenty of times when rude people would laugh and i would think they were laughing at me!. what i do is i pretend im just fooling around with all my friends and try to have a good time!. just pretend the audience is filled with friends and family!. somehow it brings out more confidence in me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have a laughing issue on stage too!. One theater teacher I had for summer camp says before you go on think about the character you are trying to project!. Keep that in your mind and try to be that character, it really helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Simple just pretend that everyone is statues or that you are so famous and you have sold out tour and just make yourself and the audience happy!.
Who cares if you mess up!.
The audience wont know since they dont know your lines!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wow!Show time show time! Grab your mic, clear your throat, sing!(yeah this is for singing, well if you are interest in other performance tell me I try to talk about it next time) well guys you have to honest, we are nervous(especially the first time)! Holding the mic, you feel your hand is shaking, or legs felt soft, or your voice is vibrating(not in a regular frequency~~) what can you do!? Read below!.

Well, I'm not saying I'm perfectly right, just some of my opinions!. First of course you need to do the performance as many as you can to kill the fear!. Well I have seen the situations that it doens't work that way!. Then you need to get some other means though!. Divert your attention to something else!. Well you may say, isn't that making the performance first because you tend not the concentrate on your singing?Ok in fact we are somehow misunderstand the idea!. You want to focus on the singing which to try to make it better, or say we try to focus on the performance, but the more you do, the more nervous you are!. How come!? Because we are distracing ourselves in another way (wow that sounds interesting)!. You try to concentrate on your performance, but you are in fact stressful about it, you more you want to sing better, the more stressful you are!.(Yes!That's why we are nervous!)It is indeed a presure when you want to sing better,or say perform better, you are aiming to do this, but you are in a opposite way!. Which can deduce that, you are already distracted by yourself!. So we are distracted from the beginning any way!.

Yeah so instead of focusing on ourselves, we diverted our own attention to something else! But I have to say that before we do this, for sure we have to maintain the idea that we should try to sing as well as we can, that's a process when you are prectising alone with yourself!. Ok first you just look at the audiences!. Audiences are the ones who you are going to perform for, sometimes you feel released instantly as you see their face, well it depends on different people, there will be a kind of feeling that you look at them, and you will see they are listening not only your vioce, but also your heart!.Second, MOVING!. I don't mean you have to move around(at least not all the time), but you have to move something(head,eyes,hands,fingers,legs,f!.!.!. one of them at least), even opera singers or the classical singers they have to move sometimes!. The first time might be a bit awkward, but as long as you move with your heart, it will get better!. Three, move around after you learn how to move your body(except for the classical singer, I think they have special limitiation, I'm talking about the general situation here)!. Yeah, just walk around if you can(of course not all the time! You have to decide how to do it), don't move to fast from the beginning if you are not that good in breathing, coz sometimes it does effect that!.

Look at those singers on the stage, they move around, they run, they sing! They are nervous as well, but they move,oh yeah, by the way, if there's a camera facing on you, look at the camera ,but don't forget to turn your head back to the audiences!(Yeah,I'm like back to the topic about some kind of shows)!. Yeah, the singers move, they sing, and that's how they solve the nerve, with many times of practising and performances!. Please dont' fuss about this idea, because I know there is a situation that is not proper to move like that, so I say you decide!. When you go over the process of performing you will find that how interesting it is, you will never know it until you do it!. So do it now!Catcha later guys!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
