I made it into a play where everyone gets a part and there are only like 7 of us!. i'm finding it really hard to get to know the people!. I feel really awkward because they're so flamboyant and loud!. And they know how to make people laugh and I'm just sitting there silent!. I mean I talked to one of the girls in the play!. And i know two other people who aren't really my friends, but how do I become more outgoing!. HOw do i get my word in!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Awe, it's hard in such a small group especially when everyone is extroverted and you're more introverted!. Maybe you could suggest that everyone go out together after a rehearsal or have the opening night party at your house!? Ask for their input, try to stay involved and don't just become wallpaper when they takeover the conversation!. also, you have your own unique personality and I think you'll end up fitting in just fine!. Not everyone can be the center of attention every second!. Starting a new show with a small cast may be awkward at first but in the end I think you will all bond!. Not that I advocate buying friendships, but this is a tradition!.!.!. you could also think of something nice and/or creative to give as opening night gifts!. These things never have to be expensive, but something cute or memorable and that could get a conversation started!. Best of luck and Break a leg!!!! MarianneWww@QuestionHome@Com I was the same way last year!. i was new to the drama department and i didnt really know anyone!. everyone else was wild and crazy, so i was just myself and everything went fine!. if you be yourself and do your best in the play im sure they will notice and want to hang out with you!. laugh at some of their funny jokes and tell them how funny you think it is!. and maybe you can ask that other girl to introduce you to these other people and invite you to hang out with them!. believe me making new friends in that class is easy and important so everyone does their best as a family!.!.!.!.lol ok not as a family but you get the pointWww@QuestionHome@Com just email them then say theres a party after that once when i was in kindergarten i was in a playWww@QuestionHome@Com |
