Question: Bbq mime for my performance, How the hell does a bbq work!NO DRAMA TALENT NEEDED!-Just know how a bbq works!
I asked yesterday for ideas of a mime performance I could do!. Here is the question I posted:
Need ideas for my mime performance-WHAT ON EARTH SHOULD I DO!?
It has to be pretty basic but still work!. I have just started doing drama, like everyone else in my year, and this is the first thing we have to do in front of the class!.
-it is an individual performance
-it is 2-3 minutes
-a basic, general task
-preferably without any other characters implied in it
-has to include a beginning, then a complication and then some sort of ending-whether it resolves the complication or not
-characterization is important
Someone suggested a barbecue, where I prepare it and then burn all of the food!. I like that idea very much but there is just one problem-I don't know how to prepare a bbq! I mean I have had a bbq but I have never 'operated' one!.
What do you do!? Like, you life the lid then what!? do you have to add gas or something or do you have to wipe the grill down!? HELLP!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Actually a very good suggestion, and hopefully you've at least seen someone Grilling!?
Are any props available!? If so, all the better for you!. Because Mime is often an exaggeration, and can be quite animated, similar to Charades, you have a lot of options!. You only have 2 or 3 minutes, and I wonder is any suggestion ahead of time, going to be offered, so no one really has to guess!?
The lid of the grille can be raised, the imaginary plate holding the steaks with one hand!. The other hand holding the large fork, dropping the steaks onto the grille!. Then with free hands you try to strike matches "After" you've either turned on gas, or soaked the charcoal with lighter fluid!. The matches keep breaking, but soon enough, near the close of the bit, you get one lit, toss it into the grille, and WHOOOSH, a huge flame climbs up, shaking you, surprising you, and yes too it can burn the steaks while you pat your head hoping your hair isn't on fire too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
You could make it funnier by having a wood fire bbq!.!.!.and start it, by lifting the logs!.!.!.and cutting the logs!.!.!.then setting fire to the logs!.
a bbq!. think of foods you can use!.!.!.link sausages!. you could get tangled up in them!. you could singe your hair/eyebrows when lighting the bbq!.
ok sorry, ill drop the 'drama'!.
Basic Bbq: Coal fire/wood fire/gas!.
Coal fire - you put the coal in!.!.!.!.and lighter fluid type stuff!. and stef fire to it with a piece of wood or paper thats on fire!.
Wood fire!.!.!.pretty much same as coal (but with wood)
Gas fire!.- a bit like when you light a gas stove in the kitchen!.
different foods!.!. - Steak, sausages, burgers (and buns) chicken, ribs!. fish maybe!?
thats all i can think of!.
