Question: Is it acceptable for a Jock to be in Drama!?
I'm looking to get a new elective and drama looks entertaining and exciting though I'm worried about two things!. One will I get trash talked a lot from being in drama due to I hear a lot in the weight room and field about drama kids and their relation to being very feminine or in some cases gay!. And two if it will cut into my football time after school!. But one plus I hear a lot is all the girls are in drama and from what I told girls like artsy guys who have more talent than just sports!. Absolutely!. Despite what most people think it takes a lot of athletic ability to be an actor especially in musical theater!. also anyone who thinks that your hobbies define your sexuality is stupid, immature, and most likely uncomfortable with THEIR own sexuality!. There are plenty of gay men who participate in professional athletes and there are a great deal of Broadway actors who have wives and children!. There are high school football quarterbacks who go to tanning salons and there are a lot of times when the guys in the cast all go out to Buffalo Wild Wings after rehearsal for "man night"!. If drama is something that interests you then I suggest you give it a try!. Have an open mind and form you own opinion of the world of acting!. Oh and by the way high school drama kids = most sexual in the entire school; we're one big family with a lot of incest!. Just incase you needed extra incentive Www@QuestionHome@Com
i think its absolutely fine!. i mean, your friends already kno u, right!? so they should know that you aren't turning into a completely different person just by taking drama as an elective!. and i think that some of the girls will respect you more for having the guts to take drama!. and you will meet so many people that you wouldnt meet otherwise!. so i say yes! and plus drama is ssoooooooooo much fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Dont care about what others think!. Seriously, when they are older and you are famous, they will look back and wish they were you!. They say alot of things about cliques and they are very stereotypical!. Dont be afraid to follow your heart!. One thing I learned is to not put my dreams on hold, and if you find it fun to do drama!.!.!.then do drama!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
It's definitely acceptable!. I wouldn't worry about what other people think!. Half my football team was in drama!. Haven't you ever seen High School Musical!? haha!. You might not want to do it during the football season though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
