Question: Was I Just Scammed Or Could This Be Real!?!
This may be long so i appreciate you reading this =)
Hi, im 14 years old and me and my mom recently heard on the radio about auditions to be on disney channel shows, so i took down the number and had my mother call!. Its called A!.C!.T!. So my mom called and we had to go down to a convention center and audition!. Agents from LA and NY were there!. The next day my mom called them and the lady said she liked me and would like to work with me so we went back down to talk to them once again!. They said that it would be a 6 month trainin session/class!. Once every 6 months 2pm-6pm!. They said the 4th and 5th classes would be auditions also and the 6th would be a final audition!. So she said everything would be $2000 dollars, and my mom said ok and paid!. They said i wouldnt be working with my agent until november!.
Was i just scammed!? It seemed believable becuz a recent success story they had was that a girl had just been cast for the hannah montana movie, so idk what to do!Www@QuestionHome@Com

from watching various talk show segments on situations like this, a legit company wont ask you to pay for head shots/auditions, they'll set it up and do it for you, and once you get a real agent (which is an entirely seperate process) they'll be the one you pay to work out that stuff
tell your mom to cancel that payment, and report these people if you have their company name or personal info (first & last names, telephone numbers, email addresses)

Scammed!. Sorry!. If they have to show you "success stories" from people who signed with their company just to legitimize their work, that should be a huge red flag!. This isn't Weight Watchers!.
