Question: Head shots!? Color or black and white!?
Somebody told me that black and white head shots look better in a porfolio than color head shots!.
Is this true!? Do they prefer one over the other!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Black and white is the standard for actors' headshots!. Colour photos are becoming more and more common, especially for commercial acting, so having a few of each couldn't hurt you, as long as the pix are professional and representative!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

As stated B&W are standards that won't be disregarded, and are still accepted, in many genres!. Actually a professionally done B&W shows more the talent of a decent photographer!.

also as suggested color is accepted, perhaps even dictated in some cases, but my opinion in either case is have them done by a pro!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

black and white used to be the standard but now color are greatly preffered just think they can see your true colors!

anyway its not as easy to cover things up with makeup in color which is why it is becoming less and less popular

color is closer to the true picture of yourself which is what directors really should see!!!

hope i helped

p!.s!. mine are in color!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Black and White Shots are for more professional actors within the Uk/Australia, In America however they used color head shots for all actors and they dis-like black and white classical thing tbh :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Color is the way to go these days, especially in the LA and NYC markets!. No one has B&W anymore!.
