Elphaba's costumes:

Well, there's her Shiz University outfit, what she wears to the Ozdust (which is really just part of her uniform and the hat), what she wears in the scene after popular, her Emerald City/Defying Gravity outfit, and the Act 2 dress!.

The makeup is MAC chromacake in landscape green if you didn't already know!. And a black wig would be a nice touch too!.

The Emerald City/Defying Gravity outfit or the Shiz U outfit would probably be the easiest!. There are actually 2 Shiz outfits in a sense, but really its just Elphie is wearing her coat at the begining and later doesn't have it on!.

Vintage stores, thrift stores, boutiques, etc are the perfect places to get things for costumes like that!.

EC/DG outfit:
*mid shin length black skirt
*long sleeve black button down shirt (same material, or very similar to skirt)
*Witch hat
*Black leggings/stockings
*ankle boots
*cape

Shiz outfit
*Dark blue dress with asymetrical skirt
*Dark blue turtle neck
*Dark blue coat
*Dark blue knit cap
*wire framed round glasses
*knee high boots
*(optional) suitcase (you can stash candy in it)

Elphaba's makeup:

The makeup is from MAC and is called Chromacake!. The color is Landscape Green!.

Its water based so there are no problems with allergies related to ingredients in makeup!. They use wide Japanese brushes to do her face, neck and hands!. Then smaller brushes to make sure they get everything!. Purple blush and eyeshadow are used because the green flattens!. The eyebrows are colored in with black!. A setting powder is then applied so she can touch other people, kiss, etc!.!.!.without the makeup coming off on everyone and everything!.

During the intermission, they make her look more like an adult than a Shiz school girl!. It takes about 30 minutes before each show to apply the makeup and about 10 minutes in the shower after to 'de-greenify'!. She also wears a green body suit that blends into the makeup!.

also, she always has a green light on her to accentuate the makeup!. She washes it off after each show!. The makeup is very light and several of the actresses who play her say they get very used to wearing the green because it isn't uncomfortable or anything like that!.

At first they airbrushed it on, but decided not to because the particles flying around weren't good for people singing and it wouldn't hold so everyone and everything Idina (Elphaba original b'way cast) touched would have green on them!.

They use a mixture of eyebrow pencil and mascara for the eyebrows!.

The nail polish is a specific color now (in the vid I got that from Eden didn't remember the name, I think it's wet'n'wild Gems), but before they could get away with a light blue or something!. In the first act the lips are just colored in with green pencil, in the second act she has black lipstick!. The blush and eyeshadow are purple because the green flattens!. To hold the green they do powder on the face and hands!. And a fixative spray on the hands as well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

go GREEN! lol there is also a book called "The Wicked: Grimmere" i think thats how you spell it!.!.!.!. it expensive but soo worth it for any wicked fan!. it has behind the scenes looks and everything! it shows you how they make Elphie green and it give u all the lyrics to all the songs and the diolouge!
