You need to start at the beginning!. To get a role like that or any speaking role you will have to have some experience!. It is possible to get acting work in general without an agent, BUT you can't expect to get anything really big!. Just think about it!. Why should they give a role to someone with no experience, when they know they can bank on other actors and actesses with lots of training and experience and a proven track record and lots of credits!?

If you reall want to pursue this, go to school and learn how to act!. It will be absolutely necessary that you do that if you really want to become an actress!.

Have a look at this page on my site for new and aspiring actors!. On it you will find 23 links to different pages that have to do with how to start an acting career including why it is you need an agent, why going to acting school is important, how to find a school and how to find an agent!. http://www!.actingcareerstartup!.com/teen_!.!.!.

Good luck!

Fahrenheit 451 will most likely have closed auditions, meaning by invite only through agency submissions!. also, I can almost guarantee that they will use a "name" actress for that role!. As far as getting an agent to submit you, they will probably do the casting out of Los Angeles, which means you have to have an LA agent!. To get a LA agent you have a have a professional headshot and resume with solid credits and training and be a union actor!.

If you want to get into acting, you don't start at the top, you have to work you way up!. Focus on some smaller projects!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm actually surprised that any studio is doing a re-make, but theatergurl certainly offers valid suggestions!.

To answer directly to the question however, the usual case, especially for any large budget production, is as she states, people are sent scripts, and are invited, as being thought of in the sense of being named actors, which in effect is part of the draw for prospective movie goers!.

Certainly most major studios go through "Franchised" agents and agencies, usually affiliated with SAG/ EQUITY, etc!.

Without knowing at all your age, appropriate to the character, level of skills, what experiences you have, or even craft relative education, I suspect you'd need all or some of those things even to be involved in community theater!.

Hollywood is certainly not in the business of on the job training, and that relates to the $$$ spent on producing films, especially those anticipated to have high $$$ volume returns!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Forgetaboutit!. They are not going to cast an inexperienced beginner in a major role, you have to be where the casting is being done, you have to have an agent!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
