The so-called agent your niece went to was a big fat phony!. No agent teaches classes!. She probably got taken in by John Robert Powers or a similar company!. They are not a real agency!. Your niece needs to get classes but from a real legit acting studio!. You say 'drama' and that leads me to think 'school classes' or John Casablancas or something like that!. She needs an acting studio with classes and workshops in audition technique, improv, scene study, etc!. Makeup, modeling!.!.!. sounds like she's been to JRP, Barbizon or one of those places that takes your money and teaches you nothing of consequence!.

Look at classes here:

As for legit talent agencies, you actually don't have any SAG franchised agencies near you, but your Film Commission recommends these:

Your niece might be good, but she needs a resume with real training and experience!. Just the fact that you mention makeup and modelling tells me the type of place she took classes!. You also didn't mention a resume!.!.!. she needs to have some experience!. You can't just go to an agent with nothing!. You'd be wasting their time!. Get her into legit classes, then work on building her resume!. Get her auditioning in theatre, student and indie films, etc!. Look at ActorsAccess!.com and backstage!.com!. Those sites have work for actors mostly in areas like Los Angeles and NY, etc!. but you never know!. You can also find auditions on your local film commission sites!. Do a search for your state name and the word film then search those sites thoroughly!. also, instead of the state, try any major metro areas like Cleveland!.

BTW, a big tip off is that no legit agent will ever place an ad in the paper, on the radio or go searching for people in a mall or Walmart!. They have enough people hunting them down in their ofices, why in the world would they seek out more!? It's because those people are not legit and only after your money!.

good luck,
