there are subtiale differences

a british accent has different sounds depending on where in Britan you are from!. Cockney is a british accent typically used by "lower" people!.
Generally the emphasis is stronger on certain vowels!. (luv) and words are shortend or abbriviated

To hear good examples of a british accent watch the british commedies on PBS after a while you should be able to pick it up and imitate it you'll also see the different examples of british accents

an australian accent is a little harder to do and there is ususlly no difference
watch crocodile dundee or some such movie and listen to how it sounds

There are big differences in an Irish an Scottish accent

Irish is more eloganted (loove) and flows easier
I can't think of any thing where there is a good Irish accent Sorry!!

Scottish is more puntucred and direct

Believe it or not a good example of a scottish accent is Scrooge Mcduck another example in that same vain would be Glongold (both are from Ducktales) so watch that and see if it can help

good luck

remeber an easy way to practice accents is to hear them and try to imitate them
